Equipment Suitable for Soccer Coaching and Goal Keeping

Soccer coaches and goal keepers are a lot alike. They both buy soccer equipment and they both have a wider perspective of the field. Soccer coaching is a great activity, either as a volunteer or as a profession. One unique fact of the game is that goalies and soccer coaches often do see eye-to-eye, in some ways, literally.   Both stand along the field and watch the game unfold. Both often direct the players with the advantage. Both usually have extra equipment in the duffle bag. It's no wonder that many goals find themselves captain of the team or the most famous player on the lineup. The list goes on and on for coaches, especially if it is a youth league. The coach really shouldn’t have to bring anything come game day if you think about it, but if they’re without an equipment manager or a f...

Soccer Referee Update Information

This blog reports on the consolidation of soccer referee grades into license levels. In 2020, as of July 1, 2019, U.S. Soccer will cancel its nine-grade referee program. In its place, a new five-license program will be in effect.   The new framework aims to streamline the progression of referees as they advance in skill and experience. They should not find themselves assigned to less games because of the program change.   This was the result of a multi-year review of the referee landscape. The study was conducted by U.S. Soccer, alongside its various members. This new Referee Pathway not only provides a clearer understanding on the process to become a referee, but it also creates more opportunities for referee participation and development.   Star...

To make it happen, make sure they have the right soccer equipment .   Here's what the soccer player needs: Soccer cleats – the soccer players wear cleats for the sake of grip. The tread keeps from excessive sliding.   Shin guards – getting kicked in the leg hurts a lot and leaves nasty bruises. Prevent the pain with shin guards. Soccer balls – be careful. Soccer balls come in different sizes. Check with your coach to see what ball is recommended. Size 5, standard, is usually okay for 12 and older. Kit bags – this is a great idea for the player who’s always in a rush. Put everything together. The goal gloves (recommended), water bottle (required), and anything...
