Equipment Suitable for Soccer Coaching and Goal Keeping

Soccer coaches and goal keepers are a lot alike. They both buy soccer equipment and they both have a wider perspective of the field. Soccer coaching is a great activity, either as a volunteer or as a profession. One unique fact of the game is that goalies and soccer coaches often do see eye-to-eye, in some ways, literally.

Both stand along the field and watch the game unfold. Both often direct the players with the advantage. Both usually have extra equipment in the duffle bag. It's no wonder that many goals find themselves captain of the team or the most famous player on the lineup. It’s a high stakes position with a lot of power and say, a lot like a coach has.

Soccer coaching equipment: Clipboard, Pen, Paper, Pinnies, Balls, Kit, First-aid kit, Sunscreen. The list goes on and on for coaches, especially if it is a youth league. The coach really shouldn’t have to bring anything come game day if you think about it, but if they’re without an equipment manager or a field shed, the coach's car becomes a second locker room.

Soccer Goalkeeper Equipment: Goalie gloves, Ball, Nets, Goalposts, Cones, Extra water, snacks, Shin guards, two or three uniforms, Weather gear.

The goalies are responsible and thrive under pressure. They think ahead, so they overpack. What if they’re asked to play center mid-game? Do they have their regular jersey? Check! In summary, both positions think ahead and are quick to respond. In fact, if one is going equipment shopping, maybe they should invite the other!
